Lily is back again, stood with her arms folded, rocking back and fore on one high heel as she stares out the window. Is it a window, if it’s underwater? A porthole, then? Or do those have to be round? Her visits are increasing in frequency, for whatever reason. Stress, maybe; a psychic release valve. “God, I hope this glass is reinforced, or something.” She taps soundlessly upon it with a phantom knuckle. “That’s a wakeup call you don’t want.” She rubs her upper arms. “Like the bloody North Pole in here.”
